How to handle a rent increase

If your new rent  is in then future then lay your new recurring with a start date in the future, and end your current recurring with an end date that is a day before your new start date.

Step 1:

End the current recurring charge and create a new one in line with the new contract. Specify an end date if this is to finish at a future date. Or switch off if finishing now

 

Step 2

Add a new recurring charge for the new rent amount. Click Add Recurring Charge and add the new rent.
