Why did you pick Arthur? 

We found out about Arthur at the Landlord and Letting show in the Barbican Centre when they’d just started out. At that time it didn’t quite work with how we operated, but their continued improvements means that now it works perfectly for us; the software does everything we need it to. But, one of the key reasons we swayed towards Arthur was because it integrated with Xero. It allowed us to stop double keying data, a massive time-waster!

What were your largest operational challenges and how did Arthur help you overcome them?

  • Our finances – Our finances were a mess, we didn’t know where we stood in terms of budgets and remittances but now that we have Arthur and we have integrated with Xero, everything runs much more smoothly and is all much more transparent. The information we need is in both systems, without manual intervention. This has saved us a lot of time, and stress!
  • Communication – Communication would come in from here, there and everywhere. But now we have a central place to manage everything we’re dealing with when it comes to tenants and owners. There’s no chance of emails going missing or letters being lost

What add-on features have you found most useful? 

At the moment we’re only using the Xero integration, but we know that there is a lot more we can use! We really want to take advantage, but are waiting for our business to be in the right place to start automating our system and taking advantage of mail merged contracts via digital signature.

How did you find the on-boarding process? 

We did the import ourselves and then came up to Arthur’s office for 1:1 training – which was really worth it. But, to be honest, I think it would have been easier for the Arthur team to have done both the core and financial import as its took us a while and stopped us from doing our day jobs.

What do you think of Arthur’s customer support? 

Generally really good. It would be nice if there was a forum to talk to other users, but the Arthur team are great!

How much time has using Arthur saved you and your team?

It’s hard to tell, definitely a good amount of hours a week. My job has definitely got easier, but I know it could be easier. That is because we are still yet to set up all our automated events and the more detailed-orientated parts of the system. I am sure when we have got our heads round this part of the software that it will save us a lot more time.
