Launched in 2015 by Marc and Rochelle Trup, Arthur is the only cloud-based property management platform designed with your business in mind. With our suite of bespoke apps, you can save time, boost efficiency and focus on what really matters.
Our journey began in 2012, and since then we’ve built something we believe is truly special.
Marc and Rochelle were managing their own property portfolios and felt that there must be an easier and more efficient way to consolidate all the moving parts that come with property management. With smartphone technology taking off, Marc and Rochelle wanted to create a platform that would free up their time, be accessible and let them manage their portfolios anywhere, anytime and on any device. After meeting David Cummin and discussing their ideas over a few glasses of wine, they decided to focus on building Arthur full-time.
Arthur entered its exciting building stage, with the tech development led by David alongside Darren Moore, a software development expert, helping to build Arthur from the ground up.
Arthur was ready to open its doors, to new team members and to more clients. Operating from Arthur’s HQ in Marc and Rochelle’s fabulous basement in true start-up fashion, the company welcomed its first team members. Having launched the Arthur stakeholder apps and introducing a beta launch of the system to family friends and a close network, 2015 saw Arthur reach the milestone of 10,000 units managed.
After the success of the beta launch, Arthur turned its attention to a full launch. Securing its first seed round funding, overseen by a new chairman, Arthur catapulted itself further into the proptech space. 2016 was also the year in which Arthur’s market-leading integration with accounting software Xero began.
Backed by a second seed round, Arthur’s first full-time staff members joined. During this year, Arthur introduced some fantastic integrations with the likes of Rightmove, Zoopla and StuRents. We were also lucky enough to win News on the Block – ProTech Company of the Year and the Negotiator – Technology Supplier of the Year.
In 2018, Arthur left the basement and moved to some exciting new London offices. During this year, our upgraded property owner app and upgraded tenant app were launched as we hit 60,000 units managed. To supplement more market-leading integrations, there was a full rewrite of Arthur’s API to integrate with softwares more easily.
Arthur joined the Aareon family in December 2020. With European-wide expertise, Aareon AG is the leading supplier of digital solutions or social housing providers in the UK. Additionally, with the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Arthur proved itself to be a business-critical solution helping clients manage their portfolios safely, seamlessly and efficiently in such unprecedented circumstances. With an expanded suite of useful tools and functionality, such as the COVID/Vulnerability Profiles to help stakeholders stay safe and swiftly adapt to change, Arthur allowed businesses to work remotely yet still enabled them to get, and stay, ahead.
In 2021, Arthur, with new backing, further accelerated their growth. First, we released our fully integrated live bank feed, and then we expanded our London office to accommodate the fast growing team. In July, Arthur welcomed Tilt Property Software to the Arthur Family. Formed in 2004, Tilt has a wealth of experience in the UK and Irish property markets.
